Free Version Shortcodes

The free version of WPComplete includes shortcodes that allow site owners to add completion buttons to course content. These buttons enable students to mark lessons, pages, or posts as complete, which is then reflected in their progress tracking.

Automatically Adding Buttons

WPComplete can automatically place a completion button at the bottom of specific post types (such as Lessons or Modules). This option can be configured in:

WP-Admin > Settings > WPComplete > General

Manually Adding a Completion Button

Completion buttons can also be placed manually inside post or page content. Use the following shortcode wherever the button should appear:

[wpc_button]

This shortcode displays a “Complete” button. When clicked, the corresponding post will be marked as completed in the student’s progress record.

Conclusion

The free shortcodes in WPComplete provide a simple way to let learners track their progress. Whether buttons are added automatically or inserted manually, they form the foundation for creating an interactive and engaging learning experience.
