Getting Started with the PRO plugin
To start using WPC PRO, make sure you’ve deactivated the free version and deleted it. To use the PRO version, please go to the Member’s Panel, scroll down to WPComplete and click download, then upload, and license the plugin on your site.
WPComplete PRO provides advanced features for tracking learner progress, customizing button styles, and displaying course completion graphs. This guide walks through the installation, setup, and licensing process for the PRO version.
Step 1: Remove the Free Version
Before installing WPComplete PRO, deactivate and delete the free version of the plugin from the WordPress site.
Step 2: Download and Install the PRO Plugin
- Log in to your Member’s Panel.
- Scroll down to the WPComplete section and click Download.
- Upload the plugin to the WordPress site.
- Activate the plugin and apply licensing (see Licensing Information below).
Step 3: Enable the Complete Button
- Go to WP-Admin > Settings > WPComplete > General Settings.
- Enable the Complete button for the supported post types.
- Alternatively, manually insert the
[wpc_button]shortcode where needed.
Step 4: Configure Appearance and Behavior
Customize the look and behavior of the Complete button and graphs in: WordPress Admin > Settings > WPComplete > Buttons/Graphs.
Here, you can:
- Adjust colors
- Select supported content types
- Configure available user types
Step 5: Add Custom Styling (Optional)
For advanced customization, add custom CSS in:
WPComplete > General Settings > Advanced
Licensing Information
If WPComplete was purchased after the iThemes acquisition, do not use the license key field under WPComplete > General Settings > General.
Instead, license the plugin by going to:
WP-Admin > Settings > iThemes Licensing and entering iThemes account credentials.
